Graham Colborne had a long term engagement with Silver Chain to establish the PMO and increase competency in project management generally. Using the P3M3 benchmarking tool the maturity of Silver Chain's project management was demonstrated to have risen from level 1 to level 3 in six of the nine areas. The PMO was based on the P3O standard and was of such quality that APMG asked that it be presented as an example of best practice and the APMG-Austrasia Best Practice Showcase. Additionally Colborne managed the qPP1 (Quality Programme Phase 1) to succesfully gain ACHS (Australian Council on Healthcare Standards) accreditation with 4 outstanding acheivement awards. The programme was managed using the principles of MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) and comprised 26 individual projects managed by 14 Project Managers.
